CROSS BORDER TB CONTROL AND CARE
It is a well known fact that globalization has increased tremendously movements accross borders, both legal and illegal movements. So what strategies are in place to ensure continuity of treatment and care of TB patients moving across borders of regions or continents. I would be much happy if we could shade more info on cases of illegal migrants , and differences in TB control guidelines. What strategies can be put in place to control TB across borders and how can we harmonise regional TB control programmes within countries sharing borders. Migrant workers retire and return back to their countries of permanent residence how then do we ensure they continue and complete their treatment. How do we exchange information across countries, how do we trace contacts of those foreign nationals diagnosed with TB on arrival in country of work? If they is anyone involve in this please share with me your experiences, i know Europe has a system in place, may i also learn from Asia, Russsia, India and Africa your experiences in this regard.
