Nurse sues the state of New Jersey over 2014 Ebola quarantine

By Elizabeth Glaser Moderator Emeritus | 23 Oct, 2015

Kaci Hickox the nurse quarantined in a tent for three days in October 2014, after returning from Sierra Leone, has filed a suit against Governor Chris Christie and the state of New Jersey .
According to the Washington post she alleges " false imprisonment, invasion of privacy and violation of due process" and is asking for 250,000 in damages.
She asserts that politicians should not have the right to make decisions that are not in agreement with the recommendations of public health officials.

What do you think, is her suit justified or did Christie's action , though rash, lie within his powers as Governor?
