Prenatal Combination ART Lowers HIV Risk, Ups Adverse Event Risk

According to a recent study, combination antiretroviral therapy administered during pregnancy decreases HIV transmission to the neonate over zidovudine alone but increases the risk for maternal and neonatal adverse events.
