Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and HIV

By John Nicholson | 10 Nov, 2010

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a major problem throughout the world, and the intersection between HIV and GBV is widely acknowledged. The purpose of this technical brief is to assist HIV program planners and implementers in designing, planning, and implementing activities that integrate GBV and HIV prevention, treatment and care, and support programs. The GBV/HIV Program Implementer's Wheel found on page 2 can help guide inclusion of GBV activities in an existing HIV program.
