Tuberculosis Control: Financial Evaluation for the 2001-2005 period in low and lower middle-income countries (Economic Annex to the Global Plan to Stop TB)

This document is the economic annex to the Global Plan to Stop Tuberculosis (GPSTB) launched in October 2001, and published in its final version in June 2002.* The main objective of this document is to define the challenges, objectives, and financial needs of TB control in the 2001 – 2005 period. It details methods and assumptions used to evaluate the financial cost of TB control in low and lower middle-income countries for the 2001 – 2005 period, as reported in the GPSTB. It also details, by activity, region, and year, anticipated costs for all the main aspects of TB control encompassed by the GPSTB.
