Reframing NCDs as 'Socially Transmitted Conditions' - new Lancet GH article

An article published in the Lancet Global Health in February argued that the prefix 'non-communicable' needs to go.

The paper received a large amount of feedback that has been synthesised in a follow-up piece published today. We propose 'socially transmitted' as a much more transparent, tractable, and accurate title than the current misnomer.

Renaming NCDs has no benefit for our communities; rather we need to take immediate actions to save our community

Yes better than renaming we should look forward for preventive measures.

I agree, we have lots to work on, to prevent NCDs than re-naming them.
