WBW 2016‬ marks the beginning of our campaign to raise awareness of links between ‪‎breastfeed and the Global Goals for Sustainable Development! Breastfeeding reduces the risks of breast and ovarian cancer.

The Lancet found that current rates of breastfeeding prevent almost 20,000 maternal deaths from breast cancer each year, and another 20,000 deaths could be prevented by improving breastfeeding practices.

Hello friends!

I am Samuel BYIRINGIRO, a fresh graduate from University of Rwanda, College
of Medicine and health sciences in Nursing. When I was still in the college
I worked with Global health media project to translate Newborn care and
breastfeeding videos into Kinyarwanda for use in our hospitals to teach
mothers in Neonatology and Maternity wards (The project termed "Turning
waiting rooms into teaching areas
<http://globalhealthmedia.org/turning-waiting-rooms-into-learning-centers-for-...).
They are now being shown in one hospital (University teaching Hospital of
Butare) but I intend of making them available to even other hospitals of
Rwanda so that Rwandan mothers can benefit from them. I would like it more
in this World breastfeeding week!
As a fresh graduate I have no founding to do so. Any one have an idea of
how I can proceed please?

I look forward to hearing from you
