New Infographic on the Impact of Contraceptives

A new infographic, produced by the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, illustrates the impact that contraceptive commodities have on the prevention of deaths related to pregnancy, child birth, and newborns. In the developing world, two in five pregnancies are unintended, which can have dire consequences for mothers and babies. Almost 785 women die each day from complications during pregnancy and child birth, and more than three million babies die in their first month of life every year. By spacing and limiting pregnancies, many deaths can be averted. Learn more at
