How are you using "fit bit" like technology to improve population or individual health?

The explosion of technology that monitors activity, daily food intake, heart rate and more have created the ability to become proactive in managing your health. However, integrating “non FDA approved” devices into patient care is an area of controversy… How have you met this challenge?

Thomas, this is a wonderful topic. I had some recent figures taken from the MEDINFO conference in Brazil that go a bit like this.
2015-wolrd population 7.1 billion
-mobile devices 7.4 billion
- "effective" mHealth projects about less than 10 (possible 20)
