I would like to announce the opening of a new surgery position at Butaro Hospital and Cancer Center in Burera District, Northern Province in Rwanda. http://www.pih.org/pages/butaro-hospital. We are seeking to recruit a full-time Rwandese or East/ Central African general surgeon. We are also disseminating the announcement via the Rwanda Surgical Society, the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS), and I am hoping to disseminate via COSECSA as well. Partners in Health (PIH), registered as Inshuti Mu Buzima (lMB) in Rwanda, is an international nonprofit organization working in collaboration with the Rwandan Biomedical Council (RBC) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Kayonza, Kirehe, and Burera districts. lMB works to support the public health infrastructure and to provide high quality, comprehensive care at the level of the district hospitals, health centers, and the community. The mission of PIH is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care through service delivery, training, advocacy and research.
