I have a graduate school class project (Behavioral Economics) looking at interventions to improve surgical or trauma follow-up in the developing world. I am trying to focus on behavioral reasons (either from providerd or patients) but I would appreciate information even on health systems/poverty causes.
If anyone can help, I would very much appreciate:
1. Personal observations and opinions on reasons for loss to follow up after surgery (or trauma) in the developing world and interventions that increase follow up.
2. Recommendations on academic and grey literature that address these issues.
I am interested in ANY type of surgery or trauma care.
Thank you so much!
