Lancet Commission on Global Surgery

By Hampus Holmer | 13 Dec, 2013

Dear Global Surgery & Anesthesia community,

We are happy to announce the launch of the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery, a year-long open process culminating in the publication of a commission report in the Lancet in early 2015. The report will contain a thorough presentation of the current state of global surgery research and implementation, but also give key recommendations for making equitable access to safe surgical care a reality for all.

The process will be led by 23 commissioners with varying backgrounds, but everyone is urged to join the conversation and make their mark on the commission report! This can be done by contacting the commissioners or by contributing to the conversation via Facebook, Twitter and our webpage (see links below). More information can also be found in the Lancet comment about the commission, published earlier this week (link below as well).

We're looking forward to hearing from you!
