Measurement and Accountability for Results in Health Summit

By Sristi Sharma | 09 Jun, 2015

The Measurement and Accountability for Results in Health Summit is happening right now (Tuesday, June 9, 2015 - Thursday, June 11, 2015) in Washington DC.

In this summit co-hosted by the World Bank Group, U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Health Organization, global health leaders are discussing ways to improve country level measurement of data and accountability systems for health through 2030, including national health goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of the important points put forth in the discussions was the economic diversity of developing nations and that one solution will not fit for all in low resource settings. What does that mean for Global Surgery and Anesthesia? Further, how can we ensure that Global Surgery and Anesthesia benefits from such discussions?
