Dr. Ellner is Associate Physician in the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Assistant Medical Director of the Phyllis Jen Center for Primary Care, where he practices primary care medicine. He also directs the Program in Global Primary Care and Social Change at Harvard Medical School (HMS), is interim co-director of the HMS Center for Primary Care, and is on the faculty of the Global Health Delivery Project. His work focuses on health systems improvements for vulnerable populations. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He earned an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing.
