Huiwen Xu, MHA, joined Health Services Research PhD program at University of Rochester Medical Center, NY in September 2014. Prior to entering URMC, I received BA in Public Management from China University of Political Science and Law, and MA in Health Administration from Beijing Normal University, both from China. With an interdisciplinary background, I have involved in various researches in healthcare, like health reform in China, health workforce, mental health, cancer survivorship, and innovative healthcare delivery model etc. So far, I coauthored more than 10 peer-reviewed articles in journals like BMC Public Health, Human Resources for Health, PLOS One, and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. Currently, I am interested in applying advanced statistical methods to examine quality of care in long term care setting with claims data.
