Bio

Recently worked as a Medical Nutrition Coordinator´- Ethiopia with Action Against Hunger, Canada. Previously worked as a STOP Transmission of Polio Consultant with WHO Nigeria. Prior to this, worked as the Health Coordinator, South Darfur, Sudan with the International Rescue Committee. Also worked as a Senior Medical Officer in the Public Health Sciences Division, ICDDR, Bangladesh - Centre for Health and Population Research. Completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). Professional experience includes health care systems development (demand and provision of health services) in the developing countries in Asia and Africa. Primary interest is Health Care Systems Development and Research in developing nations but also have extensive experience in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition, Health Seeking Behaviour (demand side), Reproductive Health (Essential Obstetric Care), Epidemiology and Control of Cholera, Disaster Management, Expanded Programme on Immunisation, HIV/AIDS and Research methodology (Quantitative & Qualitative methods). Developed project proposals and implemented projects funded by the EU, DfID, DGDC Belgium, IDRC, USAID, etc.
