Bio

Results-oriented Physician Epidemiologist who fully utilizes his medical and public health education and experiences in delivering on-time, on-budget results. Inquisitive and analytical, yet very practical. Proven ability to look beyond “restrictions” to solve problems, and make it work for stakeholders. An expert in research and design implementation of enterprise level State and National disease surveillance systems using Geographic Information Systems. Using original and innovative approaches to projects, contributing in many ways to pushing the envelope. Two Patents from India in electronics and transportation engineering.

Worked for two State Health Departments and ESRI Inc., a high end GIS software company in the US, designing and implementing environmental and communicable disease surveillance systems. Currently he is with USAID/Public Health Institute, Oakland, California, as a Global Public Health Fellow, seconded to IKP Hyderabad as Senior Technical Advisor, Grand Challenges in TB Control (GCTBC). He has been an Adjunct Professor of epidemiology in Loma Linda University School of Public Health, California, and Hershey Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania, in the US.
