The discussions on this forum are very worthwhile. I am sure many of my colleagues from the diagnostics industry are taking your comments onboard. One thought. Do we really want 'cheap' diagnostics? Cheap diagnostics are unfortunately widely available as I am sure Dr Pai would testify. Better perhaps to task ...

Indrajit, Xpert MTB/Rif Ultra is scheduled for Q2-Q3 2016 and will cost $9.98 ex-works, the same as the current Xpert MTB/Rif. Grigory, Yes, a GeneXpert with both ADFs installed could process both types of cartridge. Processing could be done simultaneously if required. The system would automatically recognise which ADF to apply to each cartridge. Martin
